Today, Diane and I were watching the local evening news when we saw our stake president on TV. We totally forgot that he is a sports newscaster! Somebody had casually mentioned this to us a while back, but it was totally funny to see him and be like, “Wait a second…how do we know this guy?”
So, when I went to Utah, I forgot my temple recommend, so when I went to the wedding, I had to go to the desk and tell the guy that I left my recommend in Texas. Having just moved, I didn’t know my stake or my stake president. When we saw on Sunday that our stake pres. is Gifford Nielsen, I started laughing. How do you NOT know that? That’s like not knowing that Steve Young is your stake president…
