My Croatian heritage stems from the isle of Brac. Some family members were lucky enough to visit distant relatives last year.

<a href="#comment-37" rel="nofollow">@Fernando </a>
Mladineos tend to come from either the island of Brac or Vis.
Altho' they may have been one family at one time. The story in our family, which descends from the Vis group, is that the name was Mladinich but was italianized by the Venetian Republic after the Mladinich's bravely fought off the Turks. They were given a title of Duke/Duchess.

I'm not sure exactly what part of Croatia my family is from. I'll have to get back to you. Where in France do you live? I was recently in Switzerland (primarily Geneva) and we visited several French cities nearby.

Je m'appelle Mladineo et je suis français,(Je suis le seul Mladineo en France, mais j'ai beaucoup de parents en Croatie qui portent ce nom.)
De quelle région de Croatie est originaire votre famille?

Sweet, you made it to my hometown Kennewick. That's where I grew up. I am so jealous because we haven't made it there yet this summer. I'm still in the job market as well. Good Luck!
