Yesterday our wonderful packers came and packed up all our stuff (plus the Suman’s green pillows…sorry!) with a total of 47 boxes. It was so nice, we didn’t quite know what to do with ourselves, so we stayed in our pjs till about noon.

I’m still trying to get adjusted to my new last name, and find it frustrating when I spell it out for people, they insist on putting the “A” before the “L”, making it “Maladineo”. This however, is a twist I’ve never seen before, and it is written on all of our boxes.
We found a super sweet deal on furniture here in Provo (IM Home Furniture), but we couldn’t fit it in our already furnished apartment, so Ferd rented a U-Haul to store it overnight until the movers got here today. This was an adventure. First of all, because we didn’t pay for the insurance, we had to visually inspect the whole truck and chart down every scratch we saw, or we would be charged with damage. And if you’ve ever noticed, U-Hauls are covered in scratches. We only drove the beast about 8 miles, but it burned through about 1.5 gallons of gas (partially due to the fact that we had the AC blowing b/c it was about 96 degrees outside).
The U-Haul ramp was a huge pain. Literally. Fernando pinched his finger in it trying to lock it in.
Our moving truck. Who knows if our stuff will fit in. The truck is already partially filled with other people’s boxes.
With all of our belongings packed away. We are left with nothing but a laptop and a TV. Luckily, my sister Cheryl and her family just moved to SLC, so we’re going to hang out with them today.

I felt really lazy just hanging out watching them pack the boxes and do all of the heavy lifting. Still, I am very grateful that ExxonMobil paid for the whole move. It made life so much easier!
Wow. I’m so confused by your moving posts. “Here’s the new place in Dallas!”, but then moving pictures in Provo?…with two different moving trucks? Are you living in Dallas, or Provo, or Makenna’s bedroom?
Haah.
I’m pretty sure you’ll eventually be in Dallas…
that looks like quite the project! I am still trying to figure out what green pillows you are talking about….? I guess they won’t be missed!
Good luck on the move, I hope everything turns out for you guys smoothly, our movers were really great. FYI when they are unloading your stuff, it’s kind of boring so Jason and I started unpacking our kitchen boxes and putting things away as we checked off the boxes they were unloading. We were able to put away our whole kitchen by the time they were done! Have fun and enjoy not moving your own things!! :)
Dana, Dana, Dana…this is how it goes:
1) We have been living in Mark and Sara’s place for the past two months (hence the Makenna reference)
2) We flew to Houston (not Dallas) to find a condo to live in (we’re moving to Houston in July)
3) We had professional movers pack and move our stuff as well as ship our cars
4) We are in Provo till Sunday before heading off!
Hope this helps clear up the confusion. :)
Thanks Erin for the tip! We’re excited to be moving. We’re going to be having a little housewarming party in mid to late July. We’ll keep you posted.
Diane, Get used to the last name thing!! It will never go away now… hahaha. The best is when people insist that you have spelled your own name wrong. “I’m preeety sure I know how to spell my own name” is what I always think. Here are some other versions you have to look forward to: Maldonado, Maldonia, Mladinel, Mladiner, Meladineo… I’ll stop. The list could go on and on and on! Glad you joined the crazy MLADINEO clan :)
I’m so glad to see your blog is working again it’s been down for a while :)..
When do you guys move to Texas?
Let us know if you need anything we are happy to help you with what ever.
